COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was killed and another was injured in a crash Friday afternoon in south Columbus, police said.
The Accident Investigation Unit was called to the intersection of East Innis and Kelton avenues on a fatal traffic crash, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Police said a black Honda Civic was heading west on East Innis Avenue around 4:35 p.m. while a white Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was traveling the opposite way. The two vehicles crashed "slightly head-on" just east of the intersection, according to police.
The driver of the Honda was transported to Grant Medical Center, where they died from their injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet was also taken to the same hospital, and police describe their condition as stable.
The AIU is investigating the crash.
