BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — Jason Broce, husband of Candice Broce, the Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS), was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol after a hit-and-run crash involving allegations of driving under the influence.
He faces multiple charges, including DUI and two counts of DUI with child endangerment, as his two children, under the age of 14, were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The Georgia State Patrol confirmed the arrest, but details about the condition and whereabouts of the children following the arrest have not yet been released.
Authorities have not provided updates on whether DFCS has taken any action regarding the children's care.
