WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Kansas Department of Transportation announced that an anticipated closure impacting traffic on Wichita’s North Junction will be delayed a week due to rain in the forecast this weekend.
KDOT said that a portion of northbound I-135, initially scheduled to close this weekend, will now be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, until late afternoon Sunday, Nov. 2.
“The closure is necessary to remove formwork and overhang brackets from the newly-poured flyover bridge structure,” KDOT explained.
During the work, the southbound I-135 ramp to eastbound K-96 and the westbound K-956 exit ramp to Hydraulic will also be closed, KDOT said.
