Creighton volleyball extended its regular season Big East winning streak to 40 after sweeping Providence on Friday.
The Bluejays are now 18-0 all time against the Friars.
In set one, Creighton never trailed.
The Jays finished the set on a 5-2 run after Kiara Reinhardt tallied two kills and Nora Wurtz came through with a solo block. CU would get the 25-21 first set win on a Providence service error.
Then in set two, the Jays pushed themselves ahead with a 4-0 run as Wurtz hit a pair of aces.
Reinhardt notched her 500th career block to give Creighton the 21-11 lead.
The Jays went on to win the second set 25-18.
The Friars came back swinging in the third set as the lead changed seven times.
