Rico Lauranzano, a 31-year-old man from Beverly, is dead after being involved in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, according to the Hamilton Police Department.

At 7:50 a.m., members of the Hamilton police and fire departments responded to the area of 651 Bay Road for a report of a motorcycle accident, according to a press release from the department. When officers arrived, they found a motorcycle that was badly damaged on the sidewalk across the road and a helmet in the roadway. When they searched the property by the road, they found Lauranzano, who was severely injured.

Officers provided Lauranzano with medical treatment until the Hamilton Fire Department and EMS arrived to provide further medical services. He was taken to Beverly Hospital, where he later died. The Massachusetts Stat
