[DES MOINES, Iowa] — The Iowa Supreme Court is considering a lawsuit against TikTok, which alleges the platform misled parents about the content shown to children. The lawsuit claims TikTok misrepresented the frequency and severity of inappropriate content, violating the Consumer Fraud Protection Act.

The legal battle began after a lower court denied TikTok's motion to dismiss the case. TikTok's attorneys argue that Iowa lacks proper jurisdiction to file the lawsuit.
