SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -Six new names were added to the Missouri Veterans Hall of Fame Friday afternoon.
The award honors not only their service in the military, but what they’ve done for their communities afterward.
Some, like Frank Robinson, give back to their fellow veterans. Robinson, from Perryville, was a founding member and director of Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial and led one of the state’s major veterans fundraising initiatives.
Clif Smart serves veterans differently. The Springfield resident had a long and successful law career following service, and went on to become president of Missouri State University, where he ensured veterans and ROTC members had access to quality education.
