AUSTIN, Texas (KLTV) - An East Texas representative announced on Friday night that the lawsuit against the Neches & Trinity Valleys Groundwater Conservation District and Sanderson Farms has been settled and an order issued by the Court.

Rep. Cody Harris calls it a huge win for East Texas, to protect our “most precious resource,” our water.

The Neches & Trinity Groundwater Conservation District allowed its lawyers to settle the lawsuit filed by the poultry farm. It comes after a Dallas-area company was given preliminary approval to install 40 high-capacity water wells above the Carrizo Wilcox Aquifer.
