A passenger on an Air India flight was ‘threatened’ by a fellow traveller for not speaking Marathi during the journey. Mahi Khan, co-founder of Digitea, shared a video of the confrontation on Instagram on Thursday.
According to Khan, the woman was seated in 16A and started shouting that he had to speak Marathi because he was flying to Mumbai. When Khan asked, “Kya badtameezi hai yeh (What kind of misbehaviour is this?),” the woman threatened, “I’ll show you what badtameezi (misbehaviour) is.”
In the video, Khan is seen questioning the woman, “Are you asking me to speak in Marathi?”
The woman, who refused to identify herself, responded, “Yes, please do.” Khan replied, “No, I won’t speak Marathi.”
The woman insisted, “You are going to Mumbai, you should know Marathi.”
