Former Detroit Pistons legend Chauncey Billups was arrested in Portland, Oregon , on charges connected to an illegal poker ring, federal officals announced Thursday, Oct. 23.

"The FBI led a coordinated takedown across 11 states to arrest over 30 individuals today responsible for this case, which is very much ongoing," FBI director Kash Patel said. "We're talking about tens of millions of dollars of fraud and theft and robbery across a multiyear investigation."

Billups, who was charged with one count of wire fraud conspiracy and four counts of money laundering conspiracy, has since been released after appearing before Judge Jolie Russo in the U.S. District Court in Portland.
