MOORHEAD — Brooklyn Broderick's second-half goal pulled Minnesota State Moorhead within a goal but St. Cloud State immediately struck back as the Huskies won an NSIC women's matchup 4-1 on Friday.

Broderick's goal at 65:05 made it a 2-1 deficit for the Dragons but just 19 seconds later, Jordan Kardelis tallied for the Huskies and Grace Olson later scored on a penalty kick for the final outcome.

"Today was effort and resilience. We've solved a lot of defensive challenges. The goal we scored today was only the second goal they've conceded in open play and at 2-1 we were right in the fight," MSUM head coach Scott Forster said. "Proud of the team in their work."
