HUDSONVILLE, MI—Notre Dame Prep spoiled Unity Christian’s undefeated season in the regular season finale Friday night.

On senior night, the Crusaders struck first. Justin Febus intercepted a pass, and Notre Dame Prep capitalized with a 9-yard rushing touchdown on the ensuing drive.

The Fighting Irish picked up momentum and took a 13-12 lead into halftime.

The offense and defense continued that momentum into the second half. The reigning Division 5 state champs would go on to defeat Unity 34-25.

Both teams are bound for the playoffs with the win Notre Dame Prep finished 7-2 in regular season play. Unity will enter the playoffs with an 8-1 record .

Pairings for the MHSAA high school football playoffs will be announced Sunday, Oct. 26 at 5:45 p.m.
