YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- The Friday Night Lights looked a little different at Cardinal Mooney High School this week.
With the annual Ursuline-Mooney game canceled this year, students still found a way to take the field, hosting a powder puff flag football showdown between junior and senior girls.
Mooney football players served as coaches, and the game doubled as a fundraiser for local causes.
Fans were encouraged to bring canned goods for the Sojourner House, and a $2 entry fee helped support domestic violence survivors.
"We put this event together to give the seniors and juniors -- the girls do so much for the football team -- this was to kid of do something for them," said senior Tyler Wilson.
