Four photographers had to be rushed to hospital after suffering injuries when Brodie Kostecki crashed his car into a wall during the Supercars' Gold Coast round.

The Dick Johnson Racing ace lost control of his Ford Mustang for the second time this weekend during qualifying on Saturday.

Kostecki cannoned into a tyre wall on the Surfers Paradise street circuit at the exit of the first chicane with just seconds remaining in the session. Loading Twitter content

"Two photographers sustained ankle injuries, one suffered an elbow injury, and a fourth received a head injury," a Supercars spokesperson said.

"All four are alert, talking, very stable, and will be transported to hospital for further assessment.

"All are in a stable condition."
