You only need to dig a little deeper into Daulton Varsho's two-run home run for the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 1 of the World Series to find yet another reason that that's true.
Here's the basic fact: Varsho's homer, which tied the Dodgers at 2-2, was the first Blue Jays home run in a World Series since 1993.
That's when the Blue Jays last played in the Fall Classic, and they won it, with Joe Carter's historic home run the last one before 32 years later Varsho left the yard to dead center off Blake Snell.
