Huge plans for 25,000 new homes near Bristol View Image

Residents of North Somerset are being invited to give their opinions on the potential locations for new homes, jobs, and crucial infrastructure over the next 15 years.

North Somerset Council's Cabinet has published an updated version of the Local Plan for public consultation, which will span six weeks from the end of October to December 2025.

The Local Plan, once approved, will steer future sustainable growth with an emphasis on low-carbon homes that follow modern energy efficiency standards, while also ensuring development is mindful of the local environment. It also sets out a commitment to protect and enhance the natural environment, support biodiversity, and make a positive contribution to the local landscape.
