A storm system brought rain and mountain snow to parts of New Mexico. Drier and warmer weather will return statewide this weekend and continue into the end of the month.
Mountain snow and rain has been falling in northern New Mexico Friday afternoon. Rain is switching over to snow around 8,500'. Up to 6" of snow may have fallen above 12,000' today with a dusting of snow in places like Red River! Temperatures were cooler this afternoon too as northerly winds and a cold front are drawing down cooler air into the state. Rain and snow is ending in northern New Mexico tonight.
