In a big development, Assam Police has gunned down a key Maoist operative, suspected to have been involved in the recent railway track explosion between Kokrajhar and Salakati.
The Maoist identified as Epheal Murmu, hailing from Jharkhand was killed in police firing at Salakati Nadangiri Hills in Kokrajhar district.
