In a tragic incident, a minor boy lost his life after coming in contact with a live electric wire allegedly set up for hunting wild boars in Aligaon village under Semiliguda block of Koraput district, Odisha, on Friday night.
According to reports, the deceased, a Plus Two student, had gone to meet his girlfriend when he accidentally touched an electric trap laid in a field. He was electrocuted on the spot.
According to reports, the minor had spoken to his girlfriend over the phone before going to meet her. The two met at the location, where the youth accidentally came in contact with a live electric wire set up in a field to trap wild boars. He was electrocuted and died instantly. The girl reportedly rushed back to her village and alerted locals about the incident.
