Josh Greenberg ran for a career-high 244 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries as Cherry Hill East clinched the WJFL Memorial Division title with a 29-20 victory over Bridgeton in Cherry Hill.
It is the second consecutive Memorial Division title for Cherry Hill East (9-0).
Cherry Hill East never trailed, taking an 8-0 lead on Jayden Green’s 8-yard TD run with 1:38 left in the opening quarter, then extended the advantage to 15-0 with Greenberg’s 94-yard TD run just 16 seconds into the second.
Bridgeton (6-3), cut the deficit to 15-14 after touchdowns by Jah’Zeer Thompson and Vascell McKoy. But Greenberg helped put the game out of reach with a 21-yard TD run with 3:13 left in the third quarter followed by a 3-yard TD with 3:53 remaining in the fourth.
