A five-run fifth inning by Moses Lake helped end Skyview’s hopes of a state championship as the Storm fell 10-6 on Friday in the semifinals of the Class 4A slowpitch softball state tournament in Yakima.

Taylor Lies went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI, and Malea Figueroa was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI for Skyview, which led 6-2 after the top of the fourth inning.

But Moses Lake scored one run in the bottom of the fourth, then five in the fifth to take the lead.

Skyview will face North Creek of Bothell in a loser-out game at 10 a.m. Saturday in hopes of playing for third-place.

SKYVIEW 17, FERRIS 0 — Taylor Lies and Dylan Yates had big games at the plate as the Storm rolled to an opening-round win over Ferris of Spokane.

Lies went 2 for 3 with a triple, home run and two RBI. Y
