DWP issues update over Universal Credit ban for one age group View Image

The Department for Work and Pensions has released an update regarding "limiting" Universal Credit for one particular age group. Sir Stephen Timms, who plays a key role in the DWP's benefit reductions, has addressed the issue in the Commons.

Dr Scott Arthur, a Labour Party MP for Edinburgh South West, raised concerns in the Commons. He enquired "to ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, whether his Department plans to publish the decision making process behind the proposal to restrict access to the Universal Credit Health Element for under-22s."
