DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A bicyclist was seriously hurt in a crash in Durham Friday evening, police said.

According to the Durham Police Department, officers were notified just before 6:30 p.m. about a bicyclist being struck in the area of South Roxboro Street and Heatherwood Lane.

The female bicyclist involved in the crash was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to Durham police.

Police said no updates on the bicyclist's status have been provided as of early Saturday morning.
