Nearly 60 years later, Chuck Foreman vividly recalls how Kenny Boyd, his younger teammate back then on Frederick High’s boys basketball team, snatched away an offensive rebound that Foreman, a prolific board crasher, was jumping up to grab.
“I was off the floor now, don’t misunderstand me,” Foreman said. “And he came up and just grabbed the thing and slammed it on in there. He was an extraordinary talent. And he was just figuring the game out then. He was just long and lanky and he hadn’t caught up physically yet.”
