An anniversary post to her husband, Dax Shepard, quoting one of his darkly humorous lines: “I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.”

It may be crude or edgy, but if you have followed this couple, you know their relationship is built on sarcasm and absurd humour. Yet here we are again, with headlines, outrage, and self-righteous demands for apologies over something that was obviously meant as a joke between two consenting adults.
