CARY, N.C. (WNCN) — A Cary man's online purchase of $2 ticket will lead to him receiving $25,000 every year for the rest of his life, lottery officials said.
According to the North Carolina Education Lottery, Boby Geevarughese matched all five white balls in the Oct. 10 Lucky for Life drawing. The odds of his victory were one in 1.8 million.

Geevarughese visited lottery headquarters on Friday where he was given the choice of receiving $25,000 for the rest of his life or a $390,000 lump sum. He chose the $25,000 annuity and received $17,938 on his first payment after required state and federal tax withholdings, according to NC Lottery.
