Fall Regatta

Galveston Island Meals on Wheels hosted its annual Fall Regatta on Sept. 25 at the Galveston Island Convention Center. This year’s event, themed “Waves of Generosity,” celebrated the volunteers and donors who make the organization’s mission possible. The Fall Regatta raises critical funds to support the organization’s work reducing food insecurity and social isolation by delivering nutritious meals to homebound island residents — those unable to prepare meals due to illness, disability or age. By the end of 2025, Galveston Island Meals on Wheels will have delivered nearly 50,000 meals to more than 300 residents.
