Kirk Cousins could be QB1 once again.

The Atlanta Falcons pivot is “highly likely” to start Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins as starter Michael Penix Jr. deals with a knee injury, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Saturday.

Cousins, 37, would be making his first start of the season, and his first since being benched last season just 14 games into a four-year, $180 million contract with Atlanta.

The 14-year veteran has appeared in just one game this season, completing five of seven passes for 29 yards late in a Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

After a hot start to his Falcons career, Cousins struggled down the stretch last season with just one touchdown and a whopping nine interceptions in his final five starts leading to his benching.
