New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) has unveiled a redesigned version of its affordable housing website, HousingSearch.ny.gov , aimed at simplifying the search and application process for residents across the state.

The improved platform offers expanded features that let users browse affordable housing listings, join waitlists and apply directly to open lotteries online.

By moving to a fully digital system, HCR hopes to make the home-finding process more accessible, particularly for New Yorkers who face barriers to submitting paper applications.
