Fremantle Chamber Orchestra will wrap up its 20th anniversary celebrations with a major performance of one of Mozart’s ‘minor’ works.

FCO’s Grand Finale 20th Anniversary will feature James Dekleva playing Saint-Saens 2, opening with Mozart’s Great G minor symphony No 40, his most popular.

One of Mozart’s last works and one of only two performed in a minor key, Charles Rosen called Great G minor symphony No 40 “a work of passion, violence, and grief”.

Arvo Part’s Da Pacem Domine (Give Peace, Lord) will contrast and complement Mozart’s masterpiece. Arvo Part is a contemporary Estonian composer and Da Pacem Domine is a restful jewel in modern music.
