Cambridgeshire is known for having plenty of green spaces and country parks to visit when you need some fresh air. However, if you are looking for somewhere new to try and fancy exploring our neighbouring counties more, there are a range of places you might want to test out.
Sywell Country Park in Northamptonshire is on an old Edwardian drinking water reservoir. The reservoir was built at the start of the 20th century to supply water to Higham Ferrers and Rushden and is surrounded by woodland and wildflower meadows to explore - although they will be looking very autumnal at this time of year.
For children , there is a playground, amphibian pond, and butterfly garden to look around. The playground features a sandpit and large climbing frame with plenty of wobbly rope bridges, tunnel
