It is that time again where the clocks are set to turn back one hour, meaning it is the end of British Summer Time.

This means we switch from British Summer Time (BST) to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Moving the clocks back and forth by an hour is known as Daylight Saving Time. We do this in order to better make use of the daylight hours offered in summer.

Every year the clocks change twice, once in spring and then again in autumn. We either gain or lose an hour depending on the time of year.

This means tomorrow you get an extra hour of sleep as you get back the hour you lost in Spring!
