In an interview with the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Harris said she “possibly” could be president one day and expressed confidence that a woman will eventually hold the nation’s highest office.

The remarks mark Harris’s strongest indication yet that she may run again after losing to Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. Despite polls showing her as an underdog for the Democratic nomination, Harris dismissed the numbers, saying she has never relied on polling data to guide her political decisions.

“If I listened to polls, I would not have run for my first office—or my second—and I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here,” she said.
