EAST LANSING – A teen who was stabbed in the early morning hours of Oct. 25 in a downtown parking garage is expected to survive, police said.

East Lansing police said the 17-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times “during or after a large fight in the Charles Street Garage” at about 1:35 a.m.

The teen fled the parking ramp at 121 Charles St. and sought assistance from police in the Ann Street Plaza. He was taken to a Lansing area hospital.

Lt. Adrian Ojerio said in a statement that the teen underwent surgery but his injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.

Police are interviewing suspects in the incident, according to Ojerio.

Additional information on the fight was not released by police.

A man also reported to police he was robbed of approximately $30 in the Albert Avenue Garage,
