WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – According to the Central and Northern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross, Volunteers responded immediately to two people injured in a fire on Ossont Road in Lowville, Lewis County, on Friday afternoon.
The Red Cross provided financial assistance to two adults, which can be used for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing. Volunteers also offered emotional support and health services. One resident is eligible for Veterans' services. Two pets were lost in the fire, and a third is missing.
In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire.
