AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - Friday night, approximately 11:00 p.m., Richmond County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to reports of several vehicles being broken into in the 1600 block of Goshen Road.

Deputies reviewed nearby surveillance footage showing multiple suspects attempting to break into vehicles.

More deputies immediately searched the surrounding area and located a gray Hyundai Elantra parked suspiciously nearby.

Upon investigation, deputies found three individuals, a male, female, and juvenile, inside the vehicle pretending to be asleep. All three were detained and later identified as the same suspects seen in the video footage.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a handgun and window punchers used to shatter car windows.
