The Toronto Blue Jays benefited from having infielder Bo Bichette back in the lineup for Game 1 of the World Series.
Bichette was 1-for-2 offensively before being lifted from the game in favor of Isiah Kiner-Falefa. It was his first action since he injured his PCL in September, and Toronto knew it was going to have to reach this point in the season to have him return to action.
Many Blue Jays fans were worried not only about not making this deep of a run into the postseason but also whether they had seen Bichette's last game as a member of the Blue Jays. Bichette is slated to become a free agent after this season ends, and he is projected to have many suitors for his services, including the Atlanta Braves .
