Why Behren Morton isn't playing today for Texas Tech with injury news, updated depth chart status

The Texas Tech Red Raiders aren't expected to have a hugely difficult task on their hands Saturday against scuffling Oklahoma State.

But to get past the Cowboys, they'll have to again rely on a quarterback other than Behren Morton.

The Raiders will be starting Will Hammond for the second consecutive week, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel .

Hammond was the starter a week ago when Texas Tech fell 26-22 to Arizona State. He went 22-for-37 passing for 167 yards and two touchdowns, and he added 47 rushing yards and another TD. The redshirt freshman has seen plenty of action this season as Morton has dealt with multiple injuries.
