Jimmy Haslam, the Cleveland Browns owner, is handling the QB room strategically. With Shedeur Sanders not starting yet this season, Dillon Gabriel led the Browns to a 31-6 win against the Miami Dolphins in week 7.
When reporters asked him about Sanders’ role shifting from a backup to a starter Haslam stated that the decision is made by the coaches and is still under evaluation.
But he did recognize the rookie quarterback, Gabriel, who posted 116 yards against the Dolphins. “Dillon has played three games, and that’s not a great sample size. And one of them was in a monsoon. You could say he played two games. Shedeur’s making progress in practice. So, we’re going to continue to work with both of those guys,” Haslam said.
