Two alternative-pop queens are in the middle of a social media war following an alleged diss track, with one of the stars set to touch down in Perth next year.

Lana Del Rey and Ethel Cain recently got into a dispute online after Del Rey launched a new song, appearing to aim at Cain.

In a video on Instagram on Wednesday, Del Rey previewed the song, sharing a video of her singing along to the lyrics.

“Ethel Cain hated my Instagram post / Think it’s cute reenacting my Chicago pose,” she said.

In another lyric, she references a headline about Cain in the New York Times, singing: “The most famous girl at the Waffle House / I don’t regret it.”
