A bright autumn day greeted thousands who descended onto the riverfront to inaugurate Detroit’s newest jewel.
The $80 million Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Centennial Park kicked off its opening festivities Saturday, Oct. 25, after three years of construction and eight years of planning, filling the 22-acre site with music, food trucks and feel-good vibes.
