The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an incident in Picton that has left one person with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Friday, October 24, 2025, at approximately 11:15 p.m. , officers from the OPP Prince Edward County Detachment responded to a report of an assault with a weapon outside a convenience store on Paul Street.

The victim was transported to a regional trauma centre for treatment. The injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Two individuals were arrested in connection with the incident. They remain in custody and are scheduled to ap pear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 .
