Emergency services are warning residents in WA’s north to prepare now with cyclone season only weeks away.
The Department of Fire and Emergency services has warned people not to be complacent, saying it only takes one strong system to have a devastating impact
In a press conference held on Wednesday, DFES Deputy Commissioner Operations Craig Waters said: “It only takes one significant storm event to come in and not only be devastating to the community but also put lives at risk”.
Mr Waters reminded residents to ensure they are prepared, with the season starting on November 1.
