Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields will start for the New York Jets after Tyrod Taylor was ruled out with a knee injury. It all comes after Jets owner Woody Johnson had strong words about Fields’ play this week.

Fields has struggled, throwing for under 100 yards in each of the past two games. He was replaced b Taylor, and it seems that Jets head coach Aaron Glenn was leaning towards Taylor to start before the injury.

“It’s hard when you have a quarterback with a rating that he’s got. I mean, he has ability, but something just is not jiving. ... You have to play consistently at that position, and that’s what we’re going to try to do for the remainder of the season,” Johnson said.
