**Tragedy Strikes as British Tourist Falls to Death in Lanzarote**
A 56-year-old British tourist has tragically died after falling nearly 20 feet from a hotel in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote. The incident occurred early this morning, around 1.30am, when the railing of the hotel reportedly gave way.
In addition to the deceased, a 54-year-old holidaymaker also fell during the incident and has sustained serious injuries. Emergency services were alerted to the situation and quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance.
Members of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), local police, and the Spanish Civil Guard responded to the call. The Civil Guard has since launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fall.
