RUSKIN, Fla. (WFLA) — Two men were arrested in connection with a month-long investigation in Ruskin on Tuesday, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies in District 4's Street Crimes Unit and HCSO's Gang Unit served a court-authorized search warrant on the 200 block of West College Avenue.
During a search of the residence, deputies recovered 59 grams of cocaine, Alprazolam, cannabis, cannabis sativa resin, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia, an unspecified amount of 9mm and .40 caliber ammunition, and a stolen Smith & Wesson handgun.
Deputies also seized $5,460 in cash.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested Carlos Medina Rivera, 42, and Desi Castell, 18, as a result.
According to deputies, Rivera was a 7-time convicted felon.
