A man in his 50s has been charged after a car crashed into a firetruck early Saturday morning, said Toronto police.
Officers responded to a crash between a car and firetruck around 5:48 a.m. Saturday, said Toronto Police Services in an emailed statement.
There are no serious injuries or arrests at this time, they said, but a man was charged with careless driving.
When asked why the man was charged, but not arrested, Toronto police said “any decisions to arrest or lay charges are made by officers as a result of their investigation.”
Toronto Emergency Medical Services said one person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
