BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) -- Many were able to find a new furry friend on Saturday.

Animal Charity of Ohio teamed up with Boardman Subaru for a special pet adoption event.

The pups were giving out all the cuddles at the dealership. Thanks to Boardman Subaru, all adoption fees are waived through October.

Organizers say this makes it the perfect time to open your heart and home to a pet in need.

There was also a bake sale to treat the new furry friends.

Jane MacMurchy with Animal Charity of Ohio says the shelter wouldn't be able to find homes for the animals if it wasn't for the dedication of those on staff.
