BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- A crash is being investigated after a bicyclist died early Saturday morning in the area of US 190 at Grand Bayou Road in West Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana State Police said.

According to LSP, the crash happened shortly before 2 a.m. on U.S. 190 at Grand Bayou Road. State police said Erin Constantin, 34, of Rayne, was riding a bicycle westbound in the left lane while wearing dark clothing and without front or rear lights.

At the same time, a 2024 Hyundai Elantra was also allegedly traveling west on U.S. 190 and struck the bike from behind.

According to LSP Constantin died at the scene and no reported injuries of the Hyundai.
