In about 40 minutes, manager John Schneider is set to address media at the Rogers Centre. Certainly, one of the first questions he will be asked is this: Why is Bo Bichette not in the lineup?

Game 1 of the World Series was Bichette’s first game in about a month in a half. He had been sidelined with a serious knee injury since early September, when he slid awkwardly into home at Yankee Stadium. In recent weeks, he’s been seen gingerly running the bases and taking batting practice as he ramped up to return to the roster.
